The location can't be beat...very comfortable...a wonderful home base for exploring the area.
We loved our stay at the casita "Patron II". The casita was well furnished and well appointed with everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Plenty of towels and linens, and all the amenities. Just bring your groceries, and everything else is already there. Beats the heck out of staying in a hotel room. Patron II is walking distance to the plaza, with its many hotels, restaurants, and galleries. We were so happy with the casita that we extended for an extra day. I would recommend it highly, and look forward to staying there on my next visit.
We loved staying in Patron II. It was a short walk to everything and at the same time quiet and secluded. It was clean and fully stocked with toiletries, clean towels, robes, and all kitchen essentials. When I booked the property I mentioned my friend and I would be traveling together and so needed a place with two beds. The property manager let me know there was a sofa sleeper but was honest and said it might not be that comfortable. Luckily, thanks to the tip, we brought an air mattress with us. Overall, a great stay.
THe property manager was extremely helpful and we loved our stay. My teenagers said it was the best place we ever stayed! Thanks Gordy for a great time!!!
A cozy little casita near the plaza. You can walk there in under 10 minutes...where you find good eats, museums and shopping. We especially liked having a small kitchen and BBQ. We cooked in on several occasions and enjoyed dining on the patio. I would stay again!
New bed pillows needed desperately - all of them were lumpy/falling apart! Other observations - light needed over kitchen table, a TV in the living area would be better than in the bedroom.
(1) The place was wonderful in all ways except a prior visitor was a smoker and the sofa smelled of tobacco.(2) The management tried to move us to a different location even though we had reserved the place months in advance and paid in full a month prior to visit. Managment wanted us to help them out of a difficult situation with the prior tenant who would not leave. Total nonsense ensued but miraculously, the prior tenant moved when we demanded return on half our money.
PATIO ON BACK OF CASITAS WAS GREAT FOR PARTY. EQUIPPED WITH EVERY CONVIENENCE. CLOSE TO TOWN SO NO CAR NEEDED. HOT TUB COULD BEEN CLEANER. LOTS OF PLUSH TOWELS, BATHROBES, AND WASHER AND DRYER. WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN.
This was a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely return here. The only negative was that the dishes were not clean when we arrived. We had to wash anything we wanted to use. But location was excellent, nice furnishings, very comfortable, priced right, and easy to deal with. A true winner!
Four of us stayed in 2 adjoining rooms (patron 1 and 2) and couldn't have been more delighted upon arrival. The property is gorgeous and beautifully kept, the rooms tastefully and thoughtfully appointed, and our interactions with Carlos and Marcella were all very positive. We are looking forward to our next stay!
We truly enjoyed our stay!! The casita was so wonderfully decorated, so private, quite and peacfull and everything is just so close, our vehicle never moved the entire time we were there. We will definately be back and recommend this to our friends!!
Thankfully we are not big T.V. people, especially on vacation but I did want to watch the Celtics play the Lakers in the final game 7 from the comfort of our casita but the cable did not work. So then I wanted to chill out and listen to the zen music cds provided, put the cd and saw it spinning picked up the remote and hit play and nothing. I like to think that I'm pretty savvy with electronics but did not get anywhere. Other than that the place was great. Not worth what we paid after all that but nice. If we stay there again will mention this on our next visit. Thanks
The sofa bed could use a new mattress, the existing one is very concave and difficult to sleep on.The kithen was well stocked and we enjoyed the patio. Due to the fact we were in Santa Fe in a heat wave we were overjoyed to see the air conditioner. I plan to return in September and will be contacting you for another stay.
A quaint casita located close to the Plaza. Would stay again.
Bed very comfortable, everything was thought of. Could have used some coffee/tea at last for first morning. Parking difficult. Said washer/dry,but there was none. Area was close to plaza, but w projects nearby, didn't feel safe to walk. Patio got egged one night. Otherwise, the little Casita was adorable and had everything.
Quiet, clean, and comfortable, size okay for 2 people, but more may have been a stretch. Within walking distance of plaza/food; however, a bit far from galleries.
We were happy with everything except...we had no internet service for the first 3 days and management was not responsive in keeping us updated. Also our TV did not work...possibly the remote just needed batteries but we did not want to buy them, and didn't want to bother management since we had already complained about the lack of internet. Other than that, we were very pleased with the rental.
I would not recommend this property simply because the door separating the adjoining house was so thin the neighbors kept us up for 2 nights was not restful
Casita Patron II is one of about 10 casitas on Duran Street (in a cramped, run-down neighborhood) created by chopping up adobe houses into miniscule vacation rentals. Patron II has maybe 300 square feet total. The "fully equipped" kitchen includes a half-refrigerator with no freezer and the sort postage-stamp sink you'd only find at a prep station or wet bar. Our unit was separated from the next by a boarded-over door through which you could clearly hear your neighbors' conversations. But worst of all was when the cleaning woman came to do the newly vacated units with her 2 small children and boom box blasting heavy bass that shook the walls at 4 in the afternoon. Forget privacy and quiet time. Also, the windows have no screens, so no opening windows at night when the mosquitos are out. Your only option is to use the barely adequate room air conditioner in the bedroom, which does nothing to cool the rest of the casita. It's single good point -- it IS within walking distance of the Plaza and Guadelupe Street. I would NEVER stay in one of these expensive "luxury casitas" again!
to get altermative accommodations. Carlos did finally give us a refund but what an ordeal!!! It was so awful to get a hotel at such an expensive price with parking and resort fees and extra taxes!!!! Anyway I do not know what to say, Carlos was so nice and the place quite nice but we were forced to a hotel by a 'comedy of erors that wa not very funny to US or the MAID!!!!
