Perfect location close to the plaza in a quiet neighborhood. Small but has everything you need!
I prefer the casita to a hotel. I felt more like a resident of Santa Fe. Agosto is small but conformable and it served it's purpose well. My only complaint would be the parking situation could be a little disorganized when all the casitas were occupied. Parking seemed to be first come first serve and we had to park on the street one night.
Wonderful casita and great location!
I extended my stay 1 day and the managers were very accommodating. However, I am still waiting for an itemized copy of the final charges. Have not received this following many email and voice mails.
The owner of this property is very responsive and responsible and has good communication skills. His manager needs some significant training in customer relations. The manager was actually very rude to me during my stay and hung up when I was trying to discover why an extra cot had not been delivered as promised. The owner eventually responded the next day and I was appreciative. This is a wonderful place to stay but I would highly advise dealing directly with the owner, particularly if you have questions or need assistance while you are renting. This property is in a primo location to walk to anything of interest in downtown Santa Fe and to a nearby mall. I stayed 4 weeks, and was comfortable the entire time with the exception of interacting with the managing staff. The woman who is the gardener for the property has excellent communication and customer service skills. She was very helpful to me during my stay and is an asset to this property/organization.
It was SMALL; a jacuzzi tub would have made it completely better; also a little patio
it would have been nice to know that WiFi is very tricky with adobe structures along with the fact that ATT is PATHETIC in ALL senses of the word througout SF & within adobe structures. Makes working via the internet & mobile almost impossible & frustrating!
This was my third stay at one of these casitas. I love how close they are to the center of town and how much its like home rather than a stuffy hotel.
hot tub was skanky!!!! Which made me very sad cos everything else was so perfect. Lovely property, great attention to details...I will come back and recommend I just will be eager to have to hot tub in better shape. Management was great w.dealing w.our phone/internet issues. Just wished I had let you know earlier.
When I arrived, there was someone staying in the casita I reserved and had the door code for. That was unnerving, since I wasn't sure I had a place to stay until I called Luxury Casitas. Then they said I could stay at Casita Agosto next door, but gave me the wrong door code. Sending me the right door code and correct casita a few days ahead would have been a plus. One of the lamps didn't work, the bed had a ten-degree slope toward the outside, and the roof leaked, but luckily it was in the bathroom. The kitchen & bath were very well appointed.
The staff is very accommodating, though we had a tough time getting someone to give us an answer on when the wireless/hard wired internet connection would be restored as it was not working. It would be great to have fresh ice in the freezer upon arrival but that is no big deal. You can't beat the value for such a comfortable place and we appreciated the tips on new spots to eat.
Great location, wonderful amenities at a reasonable price. Thanks!
We were overall very pleasantly surprised by the lovely, if quite tiny, Casita Agosto. It is in a perfect spot, which allows guests to explore Santa Fe as tourists and also to feel at home if you are there working, though the lack of clothing storage (no chest of drawers - one miniscual armoir in the bathroom allows for perhaps half a dozen hangers - not enough for a couple on a business trip, as we found out.) We loved the light in the bathroom and the lovely shower with a window was a treat. The Casita is equipped with high quality items. On the down-side, when we arrived - several hours after the appointed check-in time - all the cleaning supplies were strewn around the casita. It took about 10 phone calls to all diferrent numbers to reach an actual person and another half an hour for the cleaning lady to arrive. Instead of apologizing though, she told us that 'at least the place was not dirty' and proceeded to take her things away in a huff. It gave a very disappointing and disheartening first impression. There was no follow-up from management to see if the problem was cleared up and if we were OK. Better interpersonal skills on the part of the staff and management would go a long way to play up the existing charms of Casita Agosto.
Not enough PARKING! During our second night, I had to park in the street because there were not enough spots in the courtyard. My car got egged with ketchup and mustard smeared all over it!
There are many issues which we had with Agosto. We expressed them to management and they were very accommodating; They offered us 2 other casitas, which were both very satisfactory and we selected one, Ortega. Ortega was very good. We would rent it again and recommend it to others.
